Manchester City enter the quarterfinals

KATHMANDU: English club Manchester City has entered the quarterfinals of the Champions League. City beat German club Borussia Monchengladbach to reach the last eight on Tuesday night.

Home team City beat Monchengladbach 2-0 in the second leg of the last 16 of the Champions League. City had lost 2-0 in the first leg as well. Overall, City reached the quarterfinals with a 4-0 victory.

City’s Kevin De Bruyne took a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute against Monchengladbach, who came under pressure early in the game. City’s Ilkay Gundogan scored in the 18th minute to give Monchengladbach a 2-0 lead. City took a 2-0 lead in the first half and won the game maintaining the same lead.
