Short film ‘Savadhan’ on the story of child abuse
KATHMANDU: The short film ‘Savadhan’ directed by Dipendra Lama has been made public.
The film tells the story of child sexual abuse. The story of abuse by one’s own close relatives is included in the film. Lama has presented the reality of not being supported even when he boldly confesses the incident of abuse against his parents.
The film stars Barsha Raut, Kabya Adhikari and Prabin Khatiwada in the lead roles. The film has Shailendra D. Karki’s cinematography, Nimesh Shrestha’s editing, Shailesh Shrestha’s music and Uttam Neupane’s sound design.
Apart from Barsha and Kabya and Prabin, the film also stars Arjesh Regmi, Anita Basnet and Bhupendra Singh Dhami.
‘Savadhan’ is a joint venture between Jangmu Sherpa, Phurba Yangji Sherpa and Nima Sherpa Shrestha.
