Hero MotoCorp has introduced the new Extreme 160R and Hunk 160R
KATHMANDU: Motorcycle and scooter maker Hero MotoCorp has launched two new premium motorcycles in Nepal, namely Hero Extreme 160R and Hero Hunk 160R.
The Hero Extreme 160 will further strengthen Hero MotoCorp’s presence in the premium motorcycle segment, the company said. The company claims that this motorcycle is an excellent blend of comfort and control, providing an unparalleled blend of performance, sportiness and other features with a powerful presence.
The company claims that both the new motorcycles will fulfill the aspirations of the youth of Nepal and provide a dynamic combination of performance, styling and different charms.
The Extreme 160R and Hunk 150R will be available at Hero MotoCorp showrooms across the country. The Extreme 160R will be priced at Rs 339,000 while the Hunk 150R will be available at Rs 279,500, the company said.
Hero MotoCorp expanded its business in Nepal in 2010 by appointing Nepal General Marketing Pvt. (NGM) as the sole official distributor. The company has been serving its customers through its rapidly expanding network of more than 250 touchpoints, including 72 dealers, 82 service centers and more than 100 spare parts sales outlets.
Hero Extreme 160R
Setting the standard for sportiness and real-world performance, the new Extreme 160R comes with a 160cc air-cooled BS-6 standard engine, powered by Excens technology and advanced programmable-fuel-injection. The engine will deliver an impressive power output of 8,500 rpm at 15 bhp, the company said.
Joining the ‘fast lane’ in the high speed class, it can reach a speed of 0-60 km / h in 4.7 seconds. This motorcycle is one of the best in this category in terms of power-to-weight ratio, with a low curb weight of 138.5 kg.
Hero Hunk 150R
Equipped with a 149 cc air-cooled engine, the Hunk 150R’s core engine claims 14.2 bhp of power and 12.6 Nm of torque.
Aimed at providing real-world performance, the all-new Hunk 150R offers a lightweight diamond tubular frame ‚that provides precise handling and stability in corners and on straight roads. Paired with 130/70 mm radial rear tires, the Hunk 150R offers excellent road grip in all types of road and vehicle operating conditions, the company said.
The Riding Triangle has been adjusted to provide the best balance of agility, stability and comfort. The motorcycle also has seven levels of adjustable mono-shock suspension to ensure excellent handling and sporty ride under the first in category. The 37 mm wide biffy front forks ensure a stable and elegant riding.
