KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has organized a tea party for the central members. A tea party and informal meeting will be held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar from 11 am on Tuesday.

The SMS sent by Prime Minister Oli has also reached senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal. All the leaders of the Nepali side have been invited to the tea party. Oli’s chief personal secretary Indra Bhandari has invited him to attend the event via SMS.

Oli has called a meeting of the UML Central Committee on 7th of Chaitra. All the central members participating in the meeting have been invited for tea. The Oli faction has described it as a means of preparing for the 7th of Chaitra meeting and increasing intimacy.

But after the Supreme Court’s decision, when the party reached the stage of 2nd Jestha, 2075 BS, the Nepali side is irritated after Oli carried out activities including manipulating responsibilities against the constitution. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Oli has dismissed all the office bearers except the chairperson and general secretary from the central committee meeting alone.

Even though it is said that Oli tried to normalize the situation by drinking tea, the Nepali side is not ready to accept that. He has already started a parallel exercise within the UML.
