Mega Bank’s QR payment service in Gagalphedi Transport
KATHMANDU: Mega Bank Nepal Limited has arranged fare payment facility through QR code payment technology in passenger buses operated by Gagalphedi Yatayat Pvt. Ltd.
Mega Bank and Gagalphedi Transport Pvt. Ltd. have launched a fare payment system in a special ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Sharma, Chief Operating Officer of Mega Bank, said that the bank would invest in everything from halo to hydro and expressed commitment to provide loans at concessional interest rates for transport, education, health, agriculture, women entrepreneurs, housing and others.
Similarly, Chief of Mega Bank’s Card and Alternative Channels Department, Bishwa Singh, said that renting through QR system would save time, avoid cash leakage and be transparent.
Similarly, Madhusudan KC (Khadka), Chairman, Gagalphedi Transport Private Limited, thanked Mega Bank for providing QR code facility and said that the use of this payment system would be convenient for both the transport operators and the passengers.
Badri Bahadur Khadka, Narayan Khadka, Kumar Dhwaj Khadka, Ananda Khadka and other shareholders were present in the program. Gagalphedi Transport has been providing service from Kageshwari Manohara Municipality Ward No. 1 Satghatte of Kathmandu to Ratna Park via Bramhakhel, Danchi, Thali, Jorpati, Chabahil, Gaushala, Gyaneshwar, Dilli Bazaar and Bagbazar.
In line with the policy of Nepal Rastra Bank to encourage cashless payment system, Mega Bank has been giving priority to the system of payment through QR code facility in various service oriented areas across the country.
