Two arrested with Rs 1.5 lakh bribe

KATHMANDU: Two persons, including a tax officer working at the Inland Revenue Office, Janakpurdham, Dhanusha, have been arrested with a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh.

Tax Officer Ramesh Dhakal and RN Management Accounts Consultancy Director Nabin Kumar Karna have been arrested by the team of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority with bribe money.

Spokesperson of the authority Narayan Prasad Risal has informed that Dhakal demanded bribe from the service recipients saying that the excise duty would be adjusted.

He informed that Dhakal was arrested in front of the Nepal Scout’s office and Karna was arrested from Annapurna Hotel and Guest House in Dhanusha.
