Mithun Chakraborty joins BJP

Agency. Indian actor Mithun Chakraborty has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to Indian media, he announced his entry into the BJP at a rally in Calcutta. Mithun, who is also a former elected member of the Rajya Sabha, has been welcomed by BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and state president Dilip Ghosh.

After joining the party, Mithun addressed the people gathered at the rally. In his address, he said that the BJP has provided a platform to fulfill its desire. Proud of being a Bengali, Mithun expressed his desire to work for the poorer sections of the society these days.
