Champions League: Dortmund reach the quarterfinals
Kathmandu. German club Borussia Dortmund have reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Dortmund entered the quarterfinals by beating Spanish club Sevilla 5-4 on aggregate.
In the second leg on Tuesday night, Dortmund drew 2-2 with Sevilla. Dortmund had won 3-2 against Sevilla in the first leg. Erling Haaland scored twice for Dortmund in the second leg. Youssef En-Nesyri also scored two goals for Sevilla.
Haaland scored in the 35th minute to give Dortmund a 1-0 lead. Haaland scored from the penalty spot in the 54th minute to give Dortmund a 2-0 lead. But Nesyri scored in the 68th and final minutes of the game to give Sevilla a 2-2 draw.
Despite this draw, Dortmund drew 2-2 with Sevilla in the second leg but entered the quarterfinals with an overall victory of 5-4. Sevilla are out of the last 16 of the Champions League.
