Zonta Club Celebrates ‘Yellow Rose Day’ on Women’s Day
Kathmandu. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Zonta Club of Kathmandu has celebrated ‘Yellow Rose Day’ on March 6. The Zonta Club also honored the ‘Inspiring and Courageous Woman’ at a Women’s Day event on Saturday.
The club said it celebrated its annual event, Yellow Rose Day, in recognition of their contributions and achievements despite various circumstances.
Twelve exemplary women were honored at Yellow Rose Day 2021, celebrated with the support of Nabil Bank, Nimbus’ premium food brand, Star Hospital Limited, Tony & Guy Golchha Group. The club honored Kiran Bajracharya, Shrishti KC, Lilly Thapa, Ayushma Rana Yakthumba, Suprima Poudel, Melissa Ghimire, Sanskriti Phuyal, Reja Thapal and others in different ways.
Similarly, the club has also provided Rs. 35,000 per person praising the extraordinary work of four women who have helped to change the attitude of the society under the title of Inspiring Women. Among the women honored are 15-year-old Sakuntala Kumari Budha, Sumitra Shrestha, Sahanshila Sharma and Radhika Thapa.
