Myanmar police came to India to become refugees!

Kathmandu. Myanmar has demanded the return of some police officers who entered neighboring India by refusing to follow the government’s instructions.

According to Indian officials, some Myanmar police officers and their families have recently arrived in India. In a letter to India, Myanmar officials called for the return of the police officers “to maintain friendly relations”.

Protests and strikes have been taking place in Myanmar since last month’s military coup. Hard-line stance on the security of the protesters have been killed and 55 have been described.

On Saturday, protesters marched across the country in violation of the ban. In Yangon, the largest city, police used tear gas, rubber bullets and grenades to disperse a crowd.

No further deaths have been reported so far. Citi Juali, deputy commissioner of the Champhai district in India’s Mizoram province, told Reuters he had received a letter requesting the return of police officers from Myanmar’s Falam district.

The letter states that Myanmar is aware that about eight police officers have entered India. The letter said, “Eight Myanmar police officers who arrived in India to maintain friendly relations between the two neighboring countries are requested to be taken under control and returned to Myanmar.”

She said she was waiting for instructions from the Delhi-based home ministry. According to Reuters, about 30 people, including a police officer, have crossed the border into India in recent days. The AFP news agency quoted an Indian official as saying more people from Myanmar had arrived in the border area on Saturday to enter India. – BBC
