The most mysterious lake in the world
Kathmandu. There are many kinds of lakes in the world, which have some secrets in themselves. There is also a lake called ‘Kawah Ijen’ in Indonesia. Lakes are considered synonymous with beauty, but it is the most acidic lake in Indonesia.
The water temperature in this lake is always at of 200 degrees Celsius. Also, the most mysterious thing about this lake is its color. At night the water of this lake shines like a blue stone.
Due to this, there is no population around the lake. Blue-green light often comes out of this lake at night. After years of research, scientists have discovered the cause of the colored light from this lake. The lake is surrounded by a variety of active volcanoes, which cause many gases, such as hydrogen chloride and sulfuric dioxide, to escape.
When all these gases combine, the water in the lake turns blue. You may be surprised to learn that Lake Kawah Ijen is so dangerous that even scientists around it cannot dare to stay for long.
Once, to check the acidity of the lake, a team of American scientists spent about 20 minutes in the water filled with this acid when the thick sheet of aluminum was placed, the sheet was removed after 20 minutes and the thickness of the sheet was reduced.
