Corona infection on the rise in India, 17,000 more infected in a single day

Kathmandu. Neighboring India has recently seen a resurgence of the Corona infection graph. In the last 24 hours, more than 17,000 Corona infections have been confirmed and 89 people have died, according to Indian media.

Infection is on the rise in Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Karnataka. According to figures released by the Ministry of Health, 17,407 people have been infected with Corona in the last 24 hours across India.

At the same time, the total number of infected people has reached one crore 11 lakh 39 thousand 516. One crore 8 lakh 26 thousand 75 people have been evacuated from the infected. The death toll has reached one lakh 57 thousand 435. The number of active infected people is one lakh 73 lakh 413.

India is currently in the tenth phase of a vaccination campaign against Corona. So far, more than 1.66 crore people have been infected across the country. Despite this, infections are on the rise.
