The loss-making ‘Jai Nepal Hall’ is closed
Kathmandu. The Nepal Film Association has stated that 10 percent of the country’s halls will be closed due to the difficult situation created by the corona virus. Jai Nepal Hall, which QFX has been operating for the past 20 years, is closed forever.
According to Devendra Khadgi, the halls have started closing due to the government’s failure to provide relief. Other halls that will close after the epidemic include most of Mofasal’s single theaters.
Chief of Quest Entertainment Nakim Uddin has said that he has decided not to run Jai Nepal Hall as it has been operating at a loss for the last two or three years due to more problems caused by Corona. He said that all the goods of the hall have been sold. He said that he would not run the rented hall now.
Many other halls in the country are also closed due to the Corona epidemic. At present, there are more than 120 halls in operation in the country.
