Kathmandu. With the support of Water Aid Nepal and the Coca-Cola Foundation, the Integrated Urban Development Center has handed over the sky water collection and groundwater recharge project to the Raj Dal Gadh of the Nepal Army.

The collaborative project, which began in January 2020, was successful but was handed over to the army. The project has been decided within the Patan Barracks of the Raj Dal Gadh.

The project is said to be aimed at replenishing groundwater in and around Lagankhel and demonstrating the technology to a wider community.

Within the barracks premises, 51 refill wells with 51 filter chambers have been constructed. It is estimated that 51 million liters of water will be stored annually through these dug wells.
