Case filed against 3 for revenue fraud with Rs 15 crore claim

Kathmandu. The Department Revenue Investigation has filed a case in the Patan High Court against three persons involved in revenue fraud.

The department has filed a case in the high court seeking Rs 15 crore 36 lakh 63 thousand 6 hundred 72 rupees and a fine to Suresh Kumar Rathi, Chief Trader of Baba Flour Mills, Biratnagar-9.

Along with Rathi, the department has accused the company’s manager Girdhari Lal Agrawal of committing value added tax, dividend tax and income tax fraud by showing lower sales than actual sales.

The department has alleged that the accused did not follow the VCTS.
