China provides educational materials to Durbar High School

Kathmandu. The Chinese government has provided educational materials to Durbar High School in Kathmandu. On the occasion of Chinese New Year, the Chinese government has provided stationery, sports and health items and clothing.

At a function held at the school on Friday, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi handed over educational materials. On the occasion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha said that the China had helped in the reconstruction of the school by the Chinese government on the occasion of the New Year.

The Durbar High School building, which was completely damaged in the 2072 earthquake, was rebuilt by the Chinese government. With the help of the Chinese government, all the materials including furniture were arranged in the school. After the reconstruction, the school has started teaching.
