1 million insurance payment by NIC Asia Bank

Kathmandu. NIC Asia Bank has paid Rs 1 million for the treatment of a deadly disease under the Super Miraculous Savings Account Scheme.

Kedar Kumar Udas, 57, a resident of Gokarneshwor Municipality-9, Attarkhel, who has opened a super miraculous savings account ‘Gold Category’ at the bank’s Tinchuli branch in Kathmandu district, has been paid the amount for treatment of a fatal disease.

Santosh Kumar Rathi, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the bank handed over a cheque for the same amount. The bank, which has been practicing responsible banking, has paid the insurance amount to the account holder in collaboration with Everest Insurance with the objective of providing insurance facility to the account holder along with savings.

At present, the bank has been providing insurance facility to the customers of the bank’s new premium super miraculous savings account ‘Diamond Category’ to mobilize the financial resources required for the future.

The savings plan includes Rs 1 million for the treatment of 18 different fatal diseases, Rs 1 million for the person or family who was completely injured or killed in the accident and Rs 1 million for medical expenses (Rs 80,000 for hospitalization and Rs 20,000 for outpatient treatment) at the same time, customers will be able to get various free facilities

So far, more than 395 customers across the country have received more than Rs 24.8 million in insurance under the bank’s deposit scheme including insurance. The bank is confident that the general public will get more incentives and motivation to save from such savings schemes including insurance.
