Kathmandu. A meeting of the Standing Committee of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s party scheduled for today (Thursday) has been postponed.

A pro-Oli meeting was convened at 11 a.m. at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar to discuss the political situation and strategy following the Supreme Court’s decision to reconstitute the House of Representatives. However, today’s meeting was postponed due to the busy schedule of the leaders, said Surya Thapa, Press Advisor to Prime Minister Oli. He said that it was yet to be decided when the meeting would be convened.

A meeting of the Oli group’s standing committee was also held on Wednesday. In the meeting, it was decided to respect the decision of the apex court, convene a meeting of the parliament within 13 Falgun and convene a meeting of the central committee and parliamentary parties.
