Jajarkot. Following the success of the Bee and Orange Zone, a new zone has been recommended in Jajarkot. The proposal has been put forward by the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Modernization Project Jajarkot with three new lists.

In the new recommendation, initiatives have been taken to create pulses, wallnut and goat zones. Pitamber Basnet, head of the project, said that a new list has been prepared after extensive discussions with the Agriculture Development Office, seven local level agriculture branches and district stakeholders. The newly recommended list is one of the most promising in Jajarkot.

The new listing has been proposed after the previously operated bee and orange zones won the hearts of the people. Man Bahadur Rawal, chief of the district coordination committee, said that a new list was being prepared after the farmers complained that they were facing problems due to lack of necessary assistance. At present, the honey of Jajarkot is being exported not only to Nepal but also to many countries of the world.

Similarly, researchers have arrived from abroad to study the honey produced in Jajarkot. Jajarkot is expected to reap huge financial benefits within the government’s 10-year program. – Rasas
