Improved stove in Musahar settlement

Chitwan. Improved stoves have been distributed in the marginalized settlement in Ratnanagar of East Chitwan. An improved stove was distributed to the Musahar community living in Ratnanagar Municipality-7, Malpur on Saturday.

Sapana Village Social Impact Sauraha and Baghmara Intermediate Community Forest have jointly distributed improved stoves to 42 families. Dhruva Giri, chairman of Impact, said that the three firewood stoves provided easy access to pulses, rice and vegetables to the Musahar community.

Assistant Conservation Officer of Chitwan National Park Prakash Upreti, Chairman of Impact, Giri and Chairman of Baghmara Community Forest Jeetu Tamang jointly handed over the stove to Musahar women at a program organized at Musahar.

Speaking on the occasion, Forest Chairperson Tamang said that an improved stove was provided to the women as the health of the women and the settlement was deteriorating. Chief of the National Nature Conservation Fund Sauraha Dr.Baburam Lamichhane, Chairperson of the Orchard Consumers Committee Durga Prasad Ghimire and others were present on the occasion. – Rasas
