New leadership in Mathematics Education Council
Gandaki. The Sixth District Convention of Mathematics Education Council, Tanahu, on Saturday elected a new working committee under the chairmanship of Narendra Nath Neupane. The council has Shrikant Ghimire as vice-chairman, Krishna Prasad Tiwari as secretary, Raju Dhakal as joint secretary, Pampha Devi Shrestha as treasurer and Ram Kaji Shrestha as joint treasurer.
Similarly, Radha Ghimire, Mohan Bastakoti, Ved Bahadur Thapa and Prakash Kafle have been elected as members of the committee. The convention has selected Santosh Neupane, Anil Shrestha, Thakur Prasad Khanal, Harish Chandra Ghimire and Min Bahadur Karki as the central representatives of the council while Rabiraj Pokhrel, Krishna Bahadur Mahat, Somlal Rimal and Gajendra Poudel have been selected as the state representatives.
Earlier, at the inauguration ceremony of the convention, Central General Secretary of the Mathematics Education Council Ramesh Prasad Awasthi said that the organization was solving the problem of mathematics education using its own resources rather than donor assistance. He is of the opinion that the state has not properly addressed the thematic legitimate demands of the federal government.
Ramesh Chandra Hadkhale, Founder Chairman of Mathematics Education Council, Tanahu, Gyanendra Neupane and Bhojraj Koirala, Central Members of the Council, Sharad Chandra Khanal, Secretary of Gandaki Pradesh Committee, Krishna Gosain, Chairman of Bhaktapur District Committee of the Council, Santosh Neupane, Chairman of Tanahu District said that the foundation of Mathematics Education was weak. He said that learning facilitation should be improved from the grassroots level. – Rasas
