Siddhartha Bank hands over QR code to hoteliers in Gongbu
Kathmandu. Siddhartha Bank Limited has handed over QR codes to 50 hoteliers affiliated with the Hoteliers Association of Gongbu area.
The bank handed over the QR code at a function held at the Gongbu branch premises on Friday with the objective of promoting cashless transactions.
Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Shambhu Nath Gautam, Gongbu Branch Manager Min Bahadur Chaulagain, General Secretary of Nepali Hotel Entrepreneurs Association Ganesh Dhakal and hotelier members were present on the occasion.
In the program, Shambhu Nath Gautam completed the program by paying through QR code at Shramik Guest House.
As soon as the QR code service is launched, customers will be able to pay directly to the hotel operator using their mobile banking app in hotels and lodges under the Nepali Hotel Entrepreneurs Association.
The program, organized with the objective of promoting cashless business and expanding literacy, will encourage small and medium enterprises towards digital banking, the bank said.
