All Nepal National Free Students Union protested against the increase in the price of petroleum products
Kathmandu. ANNFSU, a student organization affiliated to the CPN-Dahal-Nepal group, has staged a protest against the increase in the price of petroleum products. ANNFSU, a sister organization of the CPN (Maoist), staged a protest in front of the RR Campus at Pradarshani Marg in Kathmandu.
The ANNFSU has called on the government to immediately withdraw the price hike as the general public is suffering due to the sharp rise in the price of petroleum products.
Similarly, ANNFSU has also decided to hold protests on campuses across the country on Thursday against the dissolution of the House of Representatives and increase in the price of petroleum.
Due to the tax imposed on petroleum products, the general public has been forced to pay high prices when buying petroleum products.
The government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 2 per liter with effect from Tuesday night. According to the new price list, petrol is priced at Rs 114, kerosene at Rs 97, diesel at Rs 97 and aviation fuel at Rs 67. This price is the highest in two and a half years.
