Two-year-old Rhino found dead

Chitwan. Poaching and Rhinoceros deaths due to natural causes have not stopped in the national park. A two-year-old female Rhino was found dead on Wednesday.

According to Lokendra Adhikari, information officer of the park, a two-year-old female Rhinoceros has been found dead in the area of ​​Gundrahi Dhaka Intermediate Community Forest Users Group under Amaltari in Kawasoti Municipality-17. He said the baby Rhino was presumed to have died of natural causes.

He said that the necessary samples were collected and sent to the veterinary branch for further study on the cause of death. The child’s hooves are safe. So far this fiscal year, 25 Rhinos have died. Of these, four were killed by poachers and 21 by natural causes.
