Washington. At least 20 people have been killed in a snowstorm in the United States over the past few days, according to local media reports. According to the US Climate Service, large snowstorms have swept across vast areas from southwest Texas to northeastern Massachusetts.

As of Tuesday afternoon, more than three million people in Texas were without electricity. A one-month-old baby and three children died in a house fire in the town of Sugarland on Tuesday morning.

At least three people have been killed and 10 others injured in North Carolina. A 10-year-old boy has died after falling into a snow-covered pond in southern Tennessee, police say.

Many Covid-19 vaccination centers have also been closed due to adverse weather. Problems have also arisen in the transportation of vaccines. Another snowstorm is expected in the southern and midwestern regions of the United States from Wednesday, climate officials said. -Rasas
