Khotang. Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-8 Dhitung has been declared a bright ward. The Ujyalo ward has been declared by organizing a formal program on Tuesday after the power of the central transmission line went out in all the houses of about 600 people living in Dhitung.

Mayor Iwan Rai and Deputy Mayor Bimala Rai have declared Ujyalo Ward by switching on electricity by organizing a program in Bakhuwa of Dhitung under the Ujyalo Ward Campaign of the Municipality. Ward Chairman Prithiraj Rai said that the Ujyalo ward was built with the financial support of the municipality and technical assistance of Nepal Electricity Authority Diktel Distribution Center.

In Dhitung, the locals are happy after the electric light of the central transmission line has been on for years. Residents of Dhitung, who have been living in darkness for a long time, have been able to read and write, use email, internet and computer and watch television after the power supply to the central transmission line was extended.

The municipality is preparing to declare Durchim and Chasmitar as bright wards in two months. Power expansion in Dikuwa and Bahini Dadha is in full swing and other wards have already been declared bright wards. Locals have also become active in making Halesi Tuwachung Municipality, which has 11 wards, a bright city. It is said that the work of laying poles and laying wires in Ward No. 3 Chasmitar of the municipality in the western part of the district has reached the final stage.

The central transmission line has already been extended in the Halesi Bazar area of ​​the tri-religious site. It is said that the Electricity Authority has given top priority to make Halesi, a meeting place of Hindus, Buddhists and Kirants, a bright city. The work of extending the power of the central transmission line has been expedited in other local levels of the district which has ten local levels. The work of electricity of the central transmission line, which has been started in Rawabesi village municipality as per the policy of the state to make bright local level, has reached the final stage.

Diktel Rupakot-Majhuwagadhi Municipality has started a campaign to make the town a wood-pole-free town along with the extension of power from the central transmission line. The municipality, which has 15 wards, is currently expanding iron poles. Rasas
