Bhagarathi rape-murder case: Neighbor arrested

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a man in connection with the rape and murder of Bhagarathi Bhatta, a teenager from Baitadi. The arrested person is studying in class 11 in the school where Bhagirathi is studying. Bhagarathi was studying in class 12.

District Police Chief Narayan Prasad Adhikari, who is also a neighbor of Bhagarathi, informed Makalu Khabar that he will be made public today. According to him, the man had confessed to the police that he had raped and killed Bhagarathi while returning from school.

This will be confirmed by a press conference, said the Chief Police Officer. “We have achieved success. We are preparing to make it public through a press conference after some time,” he said.

The body of 17-year-old Teenaged Girl Bhagarathi of Chadepani of Dogadakedar Village Municipality-7 was found in a bush 100 meters below the road in Lovelek forest of Khochlek-Chadepani rural road section on Magh 22. She had gone to college at 10 in the morning on the 21st. Her body was found the next day.
