President listening to the Basant [Photos]

Kathmandu. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has gone to Hanuman Dhoka on Tuesday morning on the occasion of Basant Panchami.

At a ceremony held at Nasal Chowk, Hanuman Dhoka Durbar, the President was presented with anointing, commentary, garland and flower offering by the Chief Priest of Hanuman Dhoka Care Center.

From time immemorial, on the day of Basant Panchami, there is a tradition of hearing Basant from the President and the Head of Government and other eminent persons of the Government of Nepal.

On the occasion, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Speaker Agni Sapkota listened to Basant and received Tika, Mala and Phool Prasad.
