Two trade ports between Nepal and China closed

Kathmandu. Two trade ports between Nepal and China have been closed. The checkpoints were closed after Chinese customs yard workers went on holiday to Lhosar.

The closed checkpoints are Tatopani in Sindhupalchowk and Rasuwagadhi in Rasuwagadhi.

Chief of the Suwagadhi Customs Office, Ram Prasad Regmi, said that some imports at the Rasuwagadhi checkpoint have been stopped as the Chinese workers went home on the Lhosar holiday.

He said that these containers are now closed due to lack of staff as five containers are imported daily.
