Kathmandu. Citizens have been warned against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

Citizens have been warned against the unconstitutional move of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to dissolve the House of Representatives at Maitighar Mandal on Friday organized by the Democratic Thought Society.

Leaders of civic groups participating in the vigil carried playcards with slogans such as “Rule of Law, Protect Human Rights, Stop Murder, Stop Violence, Ensure Freedom of Press, Maintain Academic Freedom”.

Chairman of the Democratic Thought Society, Kedar Narasimha KC, said that all intellectuals should come together against the unconstitutional, undemocratic and totalitarian steps of the government. He said there were anarchists in both the streets and the House and that he was trying to destroy democracy. He urged all democrats to move forward unitedly for the defense of democracy and democracy.

Speaking at the Citizen Awareness Program, Dr. Govinda KC said that the essence of democracy brought by the people with blood and sweat was taken away by the government despite its freedom and civil rights. He has accused Prime Minister KP Oli of dissolving the House of Representatives and killing the constitution and democracy for his nefarious interests.
