Shikhar Insurance’s Auto Plus Insurance Scheme Becoming Popular

Kathmandu. The company has stated that the ‘Auto Plus’ insurance plan launched by Shikhar Insurance on Mangshir 29 is becoming popular. In order to benefit the general public even when the world is plagued by the Corona epidemic, Shikhar had introduced an insurance plan called Auto Plus.

Under the Auto Plus Insurance Scheme, which has been started to provide additional benefits to the vehicles, there are three types of additional benefits including removal of depreciation, rehabilitation of new vehicles and daily vehicle rental / transportation expenses.

According to the company, this insurance can only be taken by those who have four-wheeled and two-wheeled private vehicles such as cars, jeeps, motorcycles and scooters. The insurance period of an auto plus policy is the same as the comprehensive vehicle insurance period. Auto Plus insurance policy can be purchased only for vehicles below 10 years of age from the date of registration in Nepal. Under the scheme, in case of vehicle damage and replacement of spare parts, the company pays only the amount of deduction as per the surveyor’s report or damage assessment.

Similarly, under Auto Plus Insurance, the company provides new vehicles even if the vehicle is completely damaged or stolen under vehicle restoration.

Similarly, in this policy, the insured will also get daily vehicle fare / transportation expenses as a third facility. In case your vehicle is completely damaged or stolen, the company provides transportation fare for a maximum of 30 days and in case of partial damage for a maximum of 14 days. However, the daily fare paid in this way is different for two- and four-wheelers. The fare also varies according to the price of the vehicle.

In the ‘Auto Plus’ policy, the insured has to pay a premium of 0.10 percent to 0.51 percent for each benefit. Along with Auto Plus, Shikhar Insurance has more than 22 insurance plans in operation. Shikhar Insurance has been providing services in the field of non-life insurance for the past 17 years.
