‘Remittap’ to send remittances brought by Machhapuchhre Bank
Kathmandu. Machhapuchhre Bank has launched digital wallet ‘Remitap’ from Thursday. The bank has stated that the wallet will be helpful in bringing digital technology to the rural areas and increasing the banking access of Nepalis.
By using the remitap app, customers can send remittances to Nepal from any country in the world, including Nepal. Customers can create virtual remixes using the app and use it to pay various bills as well as share in merchants, the bank said.
Electricity, drinking water, hospital, hotel, restaurant bills can be paid, telephone, internet and television can be recharged, school, college fees can be paid, air tickets and other utility services can be paid.
The Remit app has been made public in the course of introducing new services and facilities in the banking sector and with the help of SOM, the bank has taken digital transactions to another level.
Remittances sent through the Remit app Customers can get instant cash payments from more than 7,000 remittance agents across the country, the bank said.
The app has new features that allow you to pay using a virtual card, send remittances as well as send Remikard gifts to friends.
Sunil Khatiwada, Chief of Library of the Bank, said that due to the technology in it and even in Nepali language, the app is very easy and safe for the customers to use.
Customers will be able to download the bank’s remitap app from Android’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store. It is said that up to one thousand people of other banks including the customers of the bank who download the app will get a balance of Rs 100.
