Everest climbing certificates of two Indians canceled
Kathmandu. The certificate of climbing Mt. Everest taken by Indian citizens Narendra Singh and Seema Rani by submitting false details has been canceled. According to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, their certificate was revoked in the spring of 2016 after it was seen that they had obtained the mountaineering certificate by submitting false details.
According to Section 38 of the Tourism Act 2035, the Ministry has decided to ban them from climbing Mt. Everest from May 20, 2016 for six years.
Similarly, the ministry has decided to ban Navkumar Fukon, an Indian national who is said to be the leader of the party that made him climb, for six years from the same date.
Similarly, a fine of Rs 50,000 will be imposed on Seven Summit Treks Pvt. The ministry has also decided to warn Pawan Kumar Ghimire, who has been appointed as the liaison officer, as per the Civil Service Act.
According to Taranath Adhikari, spokesperson of the ministry, it has been decided to fine Nga Dawa Sherpa, a climbing helper, for making false documents that Singh and Rani had climbed Mt. Everest.
