PM did not discuss end of parliamentary session: Speaker
KATHMANDU: MONDAY, APRIL 19, 2021 – Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had not discussed with him about ending the winter session of the parliament. Speaking to reporters in his office at Singha Durbar after the end of the convention on Monday, Speaker Sapkota said that he had no discussion with him about the end of the convention. “There was no discussion or consultation between the prime minister and me on ending the convention,” Sapkota said.
He even complained that the parliamentary session ended without his knowledge. Speaker Sapkota said, “This issue should be discussed between the Prime Minister and the Speaker.” But, you ended it without letting me know. ‘
The cabinet meeting held on Monday morning had recommended the end of the winter session of the parliament. After that, President Vidyadevi Bhandari has even ended the convention.
