Journalists with FNJ cards will also get vaccinated
Kathmandu. The identity card of the Department of Information and Broadcasting will no longer be mandatory for journalists to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Earlier, the identity card of the Department of Information was made mandatory, but now it is possible to get vaccinated on the basis of the identity card of either the Department of Information or the Federation of Nepali Journalists.
Kumar Thapa, a branch officer of the Ministry of Information and Communication, wrote a letter to the Ministry of Health and Population on Tuesday requesting to make arrangements for vaccination on the basis of one of the two identity cards.
Journalists have been vaccinated at the Civil Servants Hospital, New Baneshwor since Monday. Vaccination will be conducted till Friday. So far, more than 300 journalists have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
