Public holiday in Sonam Lhosar

Kathmandu. The government has decided to grant a public holiday on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar on Magh 30. The cabinet meeting held on Monday has decided to grant public leave on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar on Magh 30.

The government had cut public holidays for various festivals including Sonam Lhosar three years ago. Stakeholders had been demanding not to reduce the leave in Sonam Lhosar, the main festival of the Tamang community.
