More than one million drugs banned in Nepal seized, one arrested
Biratnagar. Morang police have seized a large quantity of illegal drugs banned in Nepal.
According to the District Police Office, Morang, more than one million drugs banned in Nepal were recovered from a house near the Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar Municipality-5.
According to DSP Lok Darshan Thapa of the District Police Office, Morang, the drugs were recovered from the room of Bikash Mandal and his brother Bikram Mandal, who were staying at Ram Prasad Sah’s house.
According to Thapa, 79 brands of drugs banned in Nepal were recovered from his room. According to DSP Thapa, the price of the drugs is Rs 10 Lakh 3 Thousand 1 Hundred and 80.
Police have also taken under control the color printer of HP company which makes stickers used to stick medicine in the room. Police have taken Bikram Mandal under control. The seized drugs and the arrested Bikram have been handed over to the Department of Drug Management, Biratnagar for necessary action.
According to the police, they used to bring the banned drugs to Nepal and send them to the market with another sticker.
