Bollywood producer in embarrassment
Akshay Kumar’s ‘Suryavanshi’ and Ranbir Singh’s ’83’, two big-budget Bollywood films, would have been released in March-April last year if the situation had been normal. But that did not happen. The film was supposed to be released after the Indian state government gave permission to open it. But they could not come to the movie hall as expected. Producers are still scared to release the film.
Even though the central government has given permission, many states have decided to allow only 50 percent viewers to watch the film. It seems necessary for the producers of the so-called big films to be able to stay in the auditorium to be ready for the screening.
There are still no movie theaters in the United States or the United Kingdom. The bulk of Bollywood movie revenue comes from these two countries. Even in these two countries, it seems difficult to set a release date even though there is no environment for filming.
