More than 6,000 were vaccinated with Covid-19

Male. The Maldives has vaccinated 6,000 people in the first six days of vaccination against Covid-19, local media reported on Sunday, citing the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

According to statistics, 2,575 people were vaccinated in the Maldives on Saturday and the number of people vaccinated against Covid-19 has reached 6,854 so far. Of those vaccinated, 5,588 are from the capital and 1,266 are from outside the capital, according to HPA.

In the Maldives, 109 cases of covid-19 infection were confirmed on Saturday, with 2,039 people actively infected as of Saturday, and 207 have been hospitalized for covid-19 infection.

A total of 16,656 people in the Maldives have been diagnosed with Cavid-19 infection so far, of which 14,556 have returned home after treatment and 54 have died.

The Maldivian government has said it will provide free covid vaccine to all its citizens and that all will be vaccinated in the next six months. -Rassus
