Two arrested with counterfeit notes
Kanchanpur. Police have arrested two persons from Belauri Municipality-10 Bhuda area along with counterfeit notes and counterfeit notes machine.
According to Amar Bahadur Thapa Chhetri, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Ramesh Khati, 45, of Rehabilitation Municipality-6 and Bishnu Bhatta, 33, of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, Boudha, were arrested from the Nepal-India border area on Saturday evening.
“Necessary investigation is underway on both the arrested persons,” he said. According to him, one counterfeit Rs 1,000 and two Rs 500 notes have been recovered from the arrested.
Similarly, 380 pieces of paper cut in different note sizes, one wooden container containing chemical and two steel plates were recovered. – Rasas
