Dahal-Nepal group becomes aggressive, vandalizes tea shop with two vehicles
Biratnagar. Leaders and cadres of the Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling CPN (Maoist) have vandalized a tea shop in front of the Biratnagar Metropolitan City. A team led by CPN-Dahal-Nepal group leader and former MP Shiva Kumar Mandal and District Secretary Ganesh Upreti vandalized the tea shop.
Protesters have vandalized a tea shop in front of the Biratnagar Metropolitan City Ward No. 2 office. According to the victim, the tea shop was first opened but later vandalized by the same person.
According to Kavita Sahani, a group of about 25 people vandalized the shop.
The protesters, who looked soft before noon, have been active in tightening the protest ever since. Activists of Dahal Nepal Group have also vandalized a car (Ba 16 Cha 4404) in Biratnagar. Meanwhile, Ward Chairman of Biratnagar Metropolitan City Ward No. 6 Bijay Kamat has attacked the police at Shanimandir.
Police have arrested some people involved in riotous activities. According to the police, district member Parul Chhetri, Mira Dahal and member of the metropolitan secretariat Sarada Mailani have been taken under control after the government vehicle (Ba 1 Jha 9118) was vandalized.
