Three CPN (Maoist) cadres arrested from Dharan

Sunsari. Three leaders and cadres of the Nepal-Dahal group of the CPN (Maoist) have been arrested in Bhanuchowk of Dharan to make the general strike a success. Among the arrested are Khadga Bahadur Poudel, Jeevan Rai and Bijay Tamang.

DSP Gyanendra Basnet of the Area Police Office Dharan informed that they were taken under control for trying to obstruct the traffic. The arrested Poudel is a transport worker, Rai is a city member of Dharan Youth Association and Tamang Youth Association is a Dharan city co-coordinator.

The arrested have been kept at the Area Police Office. DSP Basnet informed that the detainees would be kept till evening and a decision would be taken to release or keep them as per the instructions of the higher body.
