Chitwan: From Mayor to MP on the road, car vandalized

Chitwan. People’s life in Chitwan has also been affected due to the general strike called by the Prachanda-Nepal group of the CPN (Maoist). Vehicles have come to a complete standstill and shops are open to a small extent.

Even the mayor of Bharatpur metropolis has taken to the streets to make the general strike a success. Leaders and activists including Bagmati Pradesh Assembly member Kanchan Khanal have been seen in Tadi of Ratnanagar.

Meanwhile, Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City Renu Dahal, State MP Ghanashyam Dahal, CPN-UML District Chairman Yama Bahadur Pariyar and other leaders and cadres are protesting. Police is present in the main market and chowk of the district.

Meanwhile, cadres of the Prachanda-Nepal group have vandalized a private car parked in front of a house at Rapti 1 Lothar in Chitwan. A private car (L ba 16 Cha 3426) was vandalized in front of the house this morning.
