Kathmandu. The general strike called by the CPN-Prachanda-Nepal group has affected people’s lives across the country, including the federal capital Kathmandu. Public and private vehicles have been running less in Kathmandu since this morning and shops, schools and colleges have not been opened.

Shops have not been opened around the main road while shops and businesses are operating in the inner area. The protesters have said that they will not stop the operation of emergency service vehicles.

Leaders and cadres of the group have taken to the streets to make the strike a success. A total of 77 leaders and activists of the group have been arrested during clashes with police during the protest

Due to the strike, students who have to take exams and daily wage workers have been forced to suffer. They have a problem with the vehicle not moving enough.
