Government goods are now transported by government companies

Kathmandu. Transportation of government goods will now be done by government companies. It has been decided to transport any goods owned by the government through the government-owned Nepal Transit and Warehouse Management Company. The decision was taken at the 48th meeting of the National Development Problem Solving Committee.

The committee has taken this decision saying that the cost of government goods and services has increased while transporting government goods through private entrepreneurs.

The committee has decided that the government-owned enterprises will import and export goods through the government company as the transportation cost will be less as the warehouse management company has physical infrastructure at Haldia and Calcutta ports.
