Election Commission reaches Prachanda-Nepal group

Kathmandu. Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Prachanda-Nepal Group has reached the Election Commission. Leaders including party presidents Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal reached the Election Commission in the morning carrying letters claiming party officiality.

Along with him leaders including Barshaman Pun, Ghanshyam Bhusal and Rajendra Pandey. As the 441-member central committee is in their favor, the Prachanda-Nepal group demands that they should get names and symbols. The group’s central committee meeting on Monday decided to claim the party’s legitimacy.

Earlier, Oli and Prachanda-Nepal had sent a letter to the Election Commission to update different decisions. But the commission did not update those decisions. With the dissolution of the House of Representatives by the Prime Minister on Poush 5, the CPN (Maoist) has become divided into two groups.
