Kathmandu. Heavy snow has fallen on the east coast of the United States. Flights have been canceled due to the snowfall and vaccination centers have also been closed.

As of midday local time Monday, 19 inches of snow fell in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and 17 inches in New York. A state of emergency has been declared in New York and New Jersey following heavy snowfall. In New York, travel has been banned since the morning except for emergency curtains and schools have been closed.

The US Meteorological Agency has said that the snowfall will decrease from tomorrow. More than 1,600 flights have been canceled due to the snow. BBC
