Child marriage stopped in Ishwarpur

Sarlahi. Child marriage in Ishwarpur of Sarlahi has been stopped on the initiative of human rights activists.

Prem Nath Mahatoki of Ishwarpur Municipality-7 has been informed that his 14-year-old daughter is getting married. According to the organization’s coordinator Rama Kafle, the 14-year-old girl was preparing to marry Ram Naresh Mahato of Lalbandi-17.

Anjana Pant Kadaria, co-coordinator of the organization, said that it was sad to see the marriage of a minor taking place in the state where the ‘Teach Daughter, Save Daughter’ campaign is underway.
