Biratnagar. The director of Nobel Teaching Hospital, Dr. Sunil Sharma, has arranged free treatment for a girl who has not received treatment due to financial constraints. Dr. Sharma has provided free treatment to Rusma Basnet, age 7, of Kalidaha in Miklajung Village Municipality-6 of Morang, including surgery for a tumor on her forehead.

The girl from a poor family could not afford treatment as her family could not afford it. About a month after his birth, the lump on his forehead was growing and he was having trouble seeing. However, due to lack of money, he could not get treatment.

After finding out the condition of the patient through Nepali Congress Morang District President Dig Bahadur Limbu, Dr. Sharma visited his house. He understood the family situation of the patient and brought him to Nobel Hospital and arranged free medical treatment for the girl. Dr. Sharma has provided free medical treatment worth Rs. 200,000.

The family of the girl is happy now that Dr. Sharma has arranged free treatment at the expense of the girl. “We were not able to treat the girl due to lack of money,” said Bikash, the girl’s father.

A team of doctors led by Nobel’s senior neurosurgeon Dr. Prakash Kafle has successfully operated on a tumor on the girl’s forehead. The girl has been discharged from the hospital after the operation.
