‘Patal Durbar’ suddenly becomes a tourist destination
Until two months ago, the name of ‘Patal Durbar’ near Birendranagar in Surkhet was not heard. The beautiful little place in the middle of the forest was unknown until some time ago. This unheard of underworld palace has suddenly become a tourist destination in recent times.
It has become a hill of soil in Birendranagar-2. These earthen hills are also built in the shape of palaces.
Lately, among the tourist spots of Surkhet, ‘Patal Durbar’ has become the choice of many. Domestic tourists have started choosing this place for sightseeing.
According to Keshav Koirala, a local who has taken the initiative to identify the place as a tourist destination, it has been given the name ‘Patal Durbar’ as there are palace-shaped hills in the middle of the forest and grass in the middle.
Most of the tourists who go there for observation are found to be visiting for the first time. Koirala said that tourists would eagerly visit the place after people started taking pictures and posting them on social media.
